Quick Notes
We will edit certain parts of your application - these will appear "blank" to you - please do NOT change these after we do:
Passport expiration date - students often enter their birthdates for some reason; we will correct this.
Your name - we will make it conform to the form on your passport that is required by Immigration. This is likely not how many of you write your names - but there is a format required by law since you are not a Korean citizen.

Chinese Citizens
Chinese citizens must also submit transcripts that are verified by the Chinese Education Ministry - (www.chsi.com.cn / www.cdgdc.edu.cn).
Certificate of current enrollment at home university (Apostilled/Notarized Versions required for non-OECD nationalities)
Evidence of proficiency in English/Korean language or reference letter if applicable
Copy of the information page of passport
ID Photo (a standard ID photo - internal use only)
Dorm application form (if desiring a dorm space)
Health examination form (Dorm applicants only - you can do this once dorm assignments are announced)*
* All dormitory applicants must submit copy of completed health form signed by the doctor and they must also present the original copy as they check-in at the HUFS dormitory. You can also do this check at a clinic near campus when you arrive for about 20,000-30,000 KRW.
Financial Statement (please wait for us to request this item- it is time sensitive - we will request it about 2 weeks before we plan to issue Admissions Packets (Apostilled/Notarized Versions required for non-OECD nationalities):
4 months Exchange - 5,000 USD

Language Proficiency Information
English
For taking classes taught in English
One of the following:
IELTS - overall band score of at least 6.0
TOEFL/TOEFL ITP - 550 or higher
computer-based 213 or higher
internet-based 80 or higher
TOEIC - 750 or higher
Letter from a university professor familiar both with the expected standards of an English-medium university program and with the student's ability to perform in an English-medium academic atmosphere.
Korean
For taking classes taught in Korean
One of the following:
TOPIK 3+
KLAT 150+ (B2)
15 hours (4-5 classes) of university-level Korean language courses (e.g., Korean 101, 102, 201, 202, 301)
HUFS Intensive Korean Program Level 4 Certificate
No requirements for taking Intensive Korean Language only
